How to Watch the 2026 PGA Championship Free Online
Want to watch the 2026 PGA Championship without a paid streaming subscription? Your options are more limited than at the Masters, which offered generous free streaming through Masters.com. The PGA Championship does not have an equivalent free streaming platform. However, there are still legitimate ways to watch significant portions of the tournament at no cost.
CBS Over the Air — Saturday and Sunday Free
The Saturday and Sunday afternoon rounds (1–7 PM ET both days) broadcast live on CBS, which is a free over-the-air network. A basic digital TV antenna — available for $20 to $30 — picks up CBS in virtually every US market at no cost. This covers the most important viewing windows of the entire championship: the final two rounds when the Wanamaker Trophy is on the line. If you have a TV and an antenna, Saturday and Sunday are fully covered for free.
ESPN App — Free with Streaming Service Login
If you have any live TV streaming service (YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV Blue, FuboTV, or DirecTV Stream), the ESPN App is included at no additional cost. The ESPN App carries the full ESPN broadcast on Thursday and Friday (12–7 PM ET) and the Saturday and Sunday morning ESPN windows (10 AM–1 PM ET). Sign into the ESPN App with your streaming service credentials.
PGA Championship Website and App
The official PGA Championship website and app at pgachampionship.com offer live scoring, shot tracking, player statistics, and leaderboard updates throughout the week at no cost. While this does not include live video streaming (unlike the Masters), it is the most comprehensive free real-time scoring and data experience available for the tournament. Download the PGA Championship app before Thursday.
Golf Channel Free Clips
Golf Channel and NBC Sports post same-day highlights and featured group clips throughout the week on their website and YouTube channel. If you miss live coverage, high-quality highlight packages are typically available within an hour of play concluding. Not a substitute for live viewing, but a legitimate way to stay current with the tournament.
What You Cannot Watch Free
The ESPN+ early coverage (7 AM–12 PM Thursday and Friday, 8–10 AM Saturday and Sunday) requires an ESPN+ subscription. The ESPN main broadcast Thursday and Friday requires a streaming service or cable. These windows cannot be accessed without a subscription of some kind — the PGA Championship does not offer the free streaming that Augusta National provides for the Masters.
The Best Free Setup
A $20-$30 antenna for Saturday and Sunday CBS coverage. A streaming service login for the ESPN App Thursday through Sunday. The free PGA Championship app for live scoring all week. This combination covers the majority of meaningful championship golf without a dedicated paid streaming subscription.
